“World Arthritis Day” was observed at DBAC & H by organizing seminar to raise awareness about arthritis, an inflammatory condition that causes pain and stiffness in joints that can worsen with age.
Specialists of Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College and hospital from different fields discussed the disease. Dr. Kulbhushan, Director, gave a brief note, Dr. Satya Deo Pandey, Principal, discussed the Ayurvedic Approach, Dr. Baljit, CMO, Modern Approach of Arthritis, Dr. Nitin Sharma, role Of Panchkarma & it’s success rate in treating the disease and Dr. JP Singh discussed Surgical Approach.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, while discussing the ailment said,” Arthritis is an inflammation of joints. It can affect one joint or multiple joints. There are more than 100 different types of arthritis, with different causes and treatment methods. Two common types are osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The disease can affect people of any age. It can be managed by following a proper diet and healthy lifestyle.”
Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, DBU, stressed on following a healthy lifestyle and said, “By having a proper diet, drinking proper water and exercising one can stay healthy. In today’s modern lifestyle, we have become so busy that we are unable to take care of ourselves.”
