School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Science Club of Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh celebrated National Mathematics Day to mark the birth anniversary of famous mathematician Shrinivasa Ramanujan. On the occasion a workshop on “Brain & Memory techniques-Boost Memory” was organized. Dr. Gurmeet Singh Vice Principal, Dean and Head of PG Department of Mathematics Sciences, GSSDGS Khalsa College, Patiala was the resource person.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University,” The day is celebrated to honor the contribution of Srinivasa Ramanuja in the field of mathematics. He had great obsession for the subject, in his lifetime he compiled more than 3000 results on equations and identities without any formal training, which proves that with dedication we can prosper in any area.”
Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, said that the contribution of Mr. Ramajuna will always be an inspiration to everyone and we should learn from his dedication.
