Desh Bhagat University, Mandi
Gobindgarh organized a meditation session on 8 January 2022 in Budhhist Temple
established in University Campus. The session was arranged for faculty, staff
and students to relieve stress and to experience the real power of Meditation. Honourable
Chancellor Sir, Pro Chancellor Madam, Vice Chancellor Madam, Advisor to
Chancellor, Register, Director Academics, Director/Principals and students of
all University Schools were present on the occasion.
Venerable Dr. Maitipe Wimalasara Maha Thera, Chief Incumbent/Director, Parama Dhamma Chethiya Maha Pirivena, Justice of Peace (All Island), Sri Lanka was the resource person who joined the session through virtual mode. He addressed the audience while explaining the power of meditation and the importance of arising five senses to unite with one's complete inner sense. He guided everyone to proceed with the meditation acts one by one.
Honourabe Dr. Zora Singh blessed everyone on the occasion and appreciated faculty, staff and students for such fruitful session. Honourabe Dr. Tajinder Kaur in her address highlighted the strength of meditation to control all five senses. Vice Chancellor Dr. Shalini Gupta welcomed Venerable Dr. Maitipe Wimalasara Maha Thera and thanked him for this invaluable and spiritual session. Dr. Rewant Vikram Singh, Director, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commissioner of India, Colombo, Sri Lanka also joined the session virtually.
