Faculty of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University organized an expert talk by Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar on the topic "Recent Development in Antihypertensive Drugs" on 3rd March 2022.

Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, was the eminent speaker of the day. The objective of the lecture was to describe the recent advances in Antihypertensives and make the audience aware of the newer drugs with more efficiency and lesser side effect in the treatment of hypertension. The speaker was welcomed digitally by Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal, School of Pharmacy.

The speaker explained hypertension in detail along with the therapeutic approach of new and efficient drugs that can be a boon to society, He also made B. Pharmacy students are aware of the ill effects of increasing blood pressure and mentioned various lifestyle modifications that can be done in order to manage hypertension.  All the faculty members and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy learnt a lot from this excellent talk. At the end of the event, Sh. B.D. Dhiman, Principal, S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy delivered the vote of thanks to the speaker.
