As part of the cleanliness campaign, the School of Performing and Media of Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with the School of Education and Cultural Club, organised a Nukkad Natak on the theme of Swacch Bharat on March 15, 2022. The play was performed with the aim of focusing on generating awareness among people about the nationwide campaign "Clean India" and assisting our Prime Minister, Sh. Narinder Modi, to accomplish his "Clean India Mission". The troupe of students left the audience spellbound by their performance, which was highly applauded by each and every one.
In his address, Dr Zora Singh, Honourable Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, appreciated the efforts of the staff and students and exhorted that Nukkad Natak is a medium of IEC (Information, Education, and Communication). Further, he also said that this drive should not be limited just to cleaning but should create awareness among the future Indians to maintain a clean environment through tree plantations. Later, Dr Tejinder Kaur, Honourable Pro-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, also congratulated the faculty, staff, and students for the wonderful performance and encouraged them to keep their surroundings and neighbourhood clean and green. The students also responded positively and promised to keep their surroundings clean.
In the end, Dr Shalini Gupta, Vice-Chancellor, of Desh Bhagat University, blessed the students and advised them to keep up such types of efforts. She also said that every day should be treated as a clean and green day to keep the environment green, clean, safe, and healthy.
